  1. Ben says:

Goku. A million times Goku. Superman would not have the slightest conceivable chance against him, and that’s before any powering up or transformations.

  2. david says:

true that, Goku Son would stomp on Superman, he doesnt even have to turn SS1

  3. Superman says:

Pffttt. Superman would stomp Goku into dust. You people need to READ some superman Comics. Even Post-Crisis Superman would have little problem hurting Goku.

  4. Francois says:

wrong, i do read supreman comics and goku would crush superman. a simple non amplified kamehameha wave would suffice

  5. The Obvious says:

Or… anything could happen because they are both fictional and the outcome would be determined by the authors? And further more, whos the first one that thought of this? They are from 2 completely different storylines. Let alone one is American, the other is Japanese.

  6. the lion says:

i am sure the outcome will be decided by authors, you said it right obvious

  7. JUICE says:

lol id like to see superman try and stop a destructo disk, special beam cannon, or even a buu chocolate transformation lol why bust out the the big guns superman is not worth gokus time

  8. TheGhost 9five1 says:

    the end
    by me

  14. Goku 4TW says:

uhm, u obviously know nothing about comics lolnooo!notsupermanhowboutgoku!!, cuz u said HULK would team up with superman. HULK is Marvel! Superman is DC! there was this one wierd cross with the justice league sending hulk to a different planet and crap, but still. different companys. and if you watch superman doomsday u’ll find out that superman can die, because he died for a short amount of time but was then revived by his robot. also, its just Goten. no “s”. and another thing, its Masenko. not masengo. also, has anyone noticed that tho Pan (Gohan’s kid) cant go super saiyan because she’s only 1/4 sayain, but yet in the last episode of Dbz ever made (Technically GT), goku and vegeta’s great great great grandkids are only 1 sixteenth sayain and yet they both go super sayain. how does that work? anyways, Goku would win. it would be pretty close. he would win by a landslide, but only because of his incredible amount of stamina.

  15. Goku 4TW says:

and yah i know the last thing i said makes no sense. but i dont have to give a crap. so hah. wait, did someone say that there’s gonna be a Goku VS superman Movie? OMG!

  16. Goku Rapes The Big "S" says:

Goku all the freakin way. He would totally spank the crap outta superbitch.

  17. you know "S" says:

Come on people! Superman would wipe the floor with Goku. Even at Goku’s most powerful level he wouldn’t stand a chance. Do you really think Superman can’t just dodge one of Goku’s energy shots?? Superman can move near the speed of light and you think he couldn’t just snap Goku’s neck?? Superman does not fight his enemies at max strength. If he did he would kill everyone of them. Goku needs to power up, Superman is always powered up and the last time I checked Goku is not have invulnerable.

  18. Mannuel says:

Goku sucks. Superman will rape Goku in a minute. You all crazy.

  19. mannuel says:

nahhhhh im kidding goku will FUCK@! him up

  20. mannuel says:

nahh super man is the best goku will get washed u all got problems!!!

  21. ssingh says:

look at all you nubs debating over who would win…

They would both loose because Dr.Manhattan would make there bodies into instant soup.

  22. l says:

Goku Has no chance to beat Superman! This is a list of the powers of Superman, (translated by google from the Italian wikipedia ):

Born on planet Krypton, he was sent, infant, on Earth before his home planet exploded. His father, Jor-El (the name originally appeared as Jor-L in the daily comic strips), had done some studies on our star, the Sun, and found that the specific radiation emitted from this could make Kal-El (the Superman’s Kryptonian name, Kal-L in strips) practically invulnerable.

Once on Earth, his ship was found by Jonathan and Martha Kent, who, touched by the small figure, take it and grow in the small town of Smallville as a child, calling him Clark. Just in this small village on the outskirts U.S., Clark develops his fantastic powers:

    superhuman strength
speed (under certain conditions can exceed the speed of light, although not seem to be faster than the number of Flash)
    X-ray vision;
    heat vision (a laser beam eyes that can overheat and melt and burn those items, which can control the intensity of Superman);
    invulnerability (partial resists at all, but not to kryptonite and magic);
flight (curiously, in the period and the Siegel-Shuster immediately after, Superman could not fly, but only to make huge jumps)
His adventures take place mainly in Metropolis, a city where, as a journalist, working in the drafting of the Daily Planet, with Lois Lane, who later became his wife, and his friend Jimmy Olsen.

The powers of the Golden Age [edit]
The development of Superman during the Golden Age was uncontrolled, and continued until the eighties when it began to limit the possibility, at least until the introduction of the known limitations to this day. In this golden age of the character, his powers were virtually limitless:

    could travel millions of light years in a short amount of time (chance today, leaving only the Green Lantern, that still does not reach the speed of Superman Golden Age);
    could cross the stars without any damage;
    was able to travel back and forth in time past, as desired, the speed of light;
could move planets of any size and mass and strength was infinite (he could raise it at will)
was able to vibrate his body so quickly become invisible, like Jay Garrick, the first Flash.
These powers, however, is often mentioned, and some of these stories are imaginary or retrieved under certain conditions.

For example, during the nineties, during the period when the Scottish cartoonist Grant Morrison, along with designers Howard Porter (pencils), John Dell (inks), during its long cycle on the JLA, Superman first granted the opportunity to change the ‘Moon’s orbit, although this was only possible thanks to the fact that he had obtained the energy powers similar to those of Ray, then, during the One Million crossover, first introduced Superman to the distant future, which had many of the features shown on (or the next section) and a level of power typical of the era Golden Age (in particular, was able to cross the barriers of time simply by punching the bar itself!), and then told how Superman, after crossing the length and breadth of the universe, came to rest in the sun of his long life.

    Super-Strength [edit]
The first demonstration of his strength came from the cover of the very first issue of Action Comics (June 1938) where Superman lifts a car over his head with all the occupants inside, they were probably criminals who were fleeing in the face to this terrible alien being. This image, which entered the iconography world, is honored on several occasions by many other superhero, portrayed in similar positions.

At that point, demonstrations of force follow one after another, with limited only by the imagination of Siegel and authors who have succeeded him: for example, in the spring of 1940, holds the palaces of Metropolis, shaken by a terrible earthquake, caused by an incredible being able to generate these violent natural events, in 1941, then swims across a raging torrent with just one hand while holding a house with his free hand, and finally, to divert the water, dig a ‘huge ditch with his hands in a few moments.

Superman’s strength allows him to raise a palazzo.Nel 1942, Superman seizes some brass knuckles and grinding the instrument base so easily that it looks the metal of simple plaster makes her way through the side of a mountain; while hanging on to a moving train, unable to open the window of a bus. In September, his strength has grown so much from being able to rip, with bare hands, the twin peaks of two mountains!

A year later, on Action Comics No. 62 (There’ll always be Superman) when you start to feel the collapse of a huge underground cavern, with the mighty power of his muscles can prevent the same disaster, filling the cave with thousands of rocks, carried under the surface of ‘ocean. It also managed to hit a baseball so hard that her travel around the world!

In 1946, then, Superman uses his super-strength to close a breach in the hull of a cargo ship that threatened to sink, welded on steel plates made from the fast warm up to merger rubbing his hands on the objects themselves . Later we refer to this process as the application of a super-clutch.

The 1947 is also the year that Superman is able to transform coal into a handful of shiny diamonds (cineschermo capacity stated on the movie Superman III) and Smallville (season 5, episode 12).

The incalculable pressure from the mighty Man of Steel fist duplicates the work of eons to melt the coal in opalescent translucent perfection of sparkling diamond!
(From Action Comics No. 115, unofficial translation)
In 1948, using the super-pressure of the nail of his thumb to cut a sheet of metal, while in 1949, without any help, he created a sun for the planet Uuz by colliding against each other its two uninhabited moons and activating fire using atomic stray meteor.

In November 1953, Superman faces the most difficult challenges of his career: a huge black star is going through the solar system, causing a fast rotation of the Earth around its axis. Having forged a gigantic metal drill, Superman begins to pierce the Earth itself up to the red hot rocks that lie beneath the earth’s crust. Using his own body as a chisel, dig a channel that brings the sea to the hole that has developed on Earth. When the sea water flows through the channel to go to wet the rocks in the center of the Earth, the result is a jet of steam which in practice becomes a giant jet engine, which opposes excessive rotation of the earth, to bring it back to normal value. At this point, Superman, as usual, puts things right by closing the canal dug.

It is the last major undertaking for the Man of Steel, in fact, after that, little else remains: in 1957, up Superman # 110 manages to hurl an uninhabited planet in space and causes an earthquake in 1958 from just your hands. In March 1965, finally captured the ship Team Anti-Superman and throws in a galaxy light years away from Earth.

    Super-Hearing [edit]
Today, Superman’s super-hearing – normal human hearing multiplied by countless thousands of times – to allow Superman to identify the steps of an ant 1,000 miles away or find a source of sound waves through millions of miles of interstellar space.

In her earliest adventures, however, Superman had no special superpowers, super-hearing and it takes today is the result of a gradual evolution through the stories of many years. The term “super-hearing” appears in the chronicles of autumn 1939. However, during the first two decades of Superman’s career, the texts also employed other expressions to describe it as “super-acute hearing,” “super-sensitive hearing” or “hyper-acute hearing.”

In January 1939 Superman is described as a man who has “sensitive ears” which allow him to hear things that normal men can not hear.

In November 1940, the super-sensitive ears of Superman’s possible to intercept the radio waves so that he can listen to news radio without the need for a radio. In 1942, his super-sensitive hearing enables him to trace the source of radio waves.

In June 1946, the hyper-acute hearing of Superman’s ability to track a phone call through the telephone wires ahead for the spring.

Since 1950, The Superman’s super-hearing enables him to hear the faint sound of a car to 1,500 km away. In 1953, indicate their ability to focus his hearing so that, flying over Metropolis, can eavesdrop on a conversation in an apartment.

In January 1960, his super-hearing enables him to detect sound waves from their fundamental source: a spacecraft millions of miles from Earth (Action Comics No. 260), and in December of that year, Superman is able to hear the Big Ben in London that strikes the hours while he is in the Sahara desert.

    Super-Breath [edit]
Like the other super-powers of Superman, the super-breath and powers connected have suffered continuous development and enhancement. A text dated August 1939 notes that can hold his breath underwater for hours.

In January 1940 he switched off a flaming torch with a powerful puff of his breath.

A text dated March 1941 notes that the lungs of the superhero can withstand any pressure, no matter how big, and a subsequent text notes that Superman can swim thousands of meters deep, down to the ocean bed, without feeling any discomfort .

In June 1941 Superman extinguishes a raging fire with an incredible blown off a fire in 1947 and inhaling the flames.

In November 1947, when the Toyman attempts to escape astride a wooden horse driven by a rocket him back to Earth with a deep breath of air.

In March 1949, after being confined in a space rocket by Lex Luthor, Superman uses his super-breath instead of rocket fuel to launch into the stratosphere. ‘And with super-breath, “the text points out,” the Man of Steel launches the missile in the sky. ” Superman repeat of a similar company in July 1960, climbing off the engine of a jet in midair and was using his super-breath as propulsion to guide it to a safe landing.

In September 1949 a fire extinguishing chemical Superman sucking all the air around it. “The flames are not a deadly threat to Superman,” the text says, “that by pulling off all the air out of the room in his mighty lungs!”

In July 1953 notes that manage to stay underwater almost indefinitely.

In July 1954, in outer space, Superman extinguishes a star with a blast of his super-breath. (Superman # 91)

In July 1959 a huge tsunami wave still frozen in an iceberg with a tip-off.

    Powers Voice [edit]
As for his other super-powers, ventriloquist and voice and have been continually magnified and exalted in the course of his career. In 1941, Superman uses ventriloquism easy to divert the attention of criminals who take hostages Lois Lane.

In March 1942, Superman demonstrates the ability to imitate other voices when skillfully alters his voice so that it appears exactly the same as the ringleader. In September of that year, in order to warn people of Metropolis of a Nazi invasion, he shouts a warning with a volume so high that his voice spreads for miles.

In May 1943 leading police in a secret underground broadcasting his voice with the help of his super-powers so that materializes in the police radio.

In 1947 he shatters a thousand-ton block of ice into tiny pieces with a mighty cry.

In January 1950, Superman ventriloquist for a considerable distance in order to talk about his fake image and in order to materialize his voice from the radio of the police. This technique, which would subsequently be known as “super-ventriloquism, allowing Superman to transmit his voice to immense distances, however, making only listen to those he addressed.

In July 1950 one of the super-cries of Superman is measured over 1,000,000 decibels (Superman # 65). A subsequent text notes that “the cry of strong echoes Superman as thousands of thunderstorms in the sky,” while another notes that “his voice echoes as 1000 super-speakers,” allowing anyone within a radius of eight kilometers to hear it.

In August 1950, and is with Lois Lane in an office at the Daily Planet, Superman uses ventriloquism to get the voice of Clark Kent in the phone so that Lois believes that Kent and Superman are two different people.

In September 1955, Superman reduces a diamond powder using the powers to issue vocal music notes extremely acute.

In July 1961 Supergirl Superman converses with an immense distance through the super-ventriloquism, a technique of spreading the rumor that allows you to talk over long distances without being intercepted by anyone in between.

In July 1962, draws Superman Krypto the Supercane through the super-ventriloquism, but in November 1963 he said to call Krypto by supersonic ventriloquism, which allows him to spread his voice with a frequency so high that only the super-hearing canine Krypto can hear it.

    Mental powers and intellectual [edit]
Along with his other superhuman powers, Superman has superpowers too intellectual and mental. In the spring of 1940 Clark Kent shows the ability to temporarily stop its heartbeat. On several occasions in later years, Superman uses this exceptional ability in order to pretend to be dead. No Superman 21 refers to the temporary arrest of his heartbeat and his state of unconsciousness, and World’s Finest Comics # 54 cites the ability to control their Superman cardiac activity in order to simulate the cessation of vital signs. Control of their heart rate would seem to reduce the mental control of their bodily functions, but in its clear description of this capability, Superman describes as a “super-muscular control.” “For you to believe that I am” dead, “he points out to a group of criminals caught in January 1958,” I used super-muscular control to stop my heart from beating, just like I’m doing now to make it beat faster and most important, listen. ”

In the summer of 1940, Superman is described as the possessor of a photographic memory.

In January 1941, Lois Lane cure his amnesia by means of hypnosis and a month later, as Clark Kent, making them forget the super hypnotic ability that he is going to use so that it can save her from a car on fire in the role of Clark Kent without reveal his double identity.

In January 1942 Superman is able to converse fluently with a siren in spite of his tongue is completely unknown because his advanced intelligence makes him instantly understand his strange language. (Superman # 14)

In July 1943 he was described as the possessor of a “super brain”, but later texts refer to Superman has a super intellect. ”

In January 1945, the superhero visit the public library and reading a mountain of books and articles about him in just five minutes, and in November 1945 is described in reading a book of 500 pages in ten seconds flat.

In September 1947 Superman is described to have a super sense which warns him that someone is watching him.

In July 1948, demonstrates the ability to solve complex mathematical equations with the speed and precision of a powerful computer.

In July 1950, the super intelligence of Superman solves, in a few seconds, a complex mathematical problem and the electronic brain of the Metropolis Science Foundation takes ten minutes.

In July 1951, Clark Kent saves a 400-page book in just a few seconds, and in September the same year commented that, for its convenience, has memorized the phone book of Metropolis.

In March 1953, Superman is described as the possessor of a “super memory.”

In March 1954, his super intelligence allows him to solve a complicated equation that involves addressing mathematical unknown to ordinary men.

In March 1955 Superman saves all the existing books on eye surgery to perform a complicated eye operation.

April 1955 is described in having used his photographic memory to store the complete history of the Daily Planet.

In May 1956 Superman is featured with the ability to recall every action of his life with his “superhuman memory.” Later texts refer to the “absolute power of memory” or memory “total recall”, noting that allows the Man of Steel to remember everything said or done.

In January 1958 Superman is able to compare the fingerprints with those of a suspect in the register of Washington, DC, for using the super memory to store the entire archive of fingerprints of the FBI

In June 1958, while he is relaxing in his Fortress of Solitude, Superman defeats a big robot that has built a super game of chess, despite the robot, which has a super electronic brain, can think and play at the speed of light and provide a million moves at once.

In November 1960 is described in having learned the Kryptonian, the language of Krypton, through its power of total recall memory.

A text dated August 1963 notes that Superman has a super intellect of the twenty brightest minds in the world put together

  23. mrdbzking says:

look dude talk about a research, goku would win i mean books tell yah that everyones on gokus side exept for comic nerds (not dbz). superman has ice and wind breath and super strength but… GOKUS go kamehameha, spirit bomb, ss, ss2, ss3 ss4, and some people think he can go ss5 and beyond, look hom many times he beat foes or won in the tournamit (except for hercule) . Its not even x1 gravety for him i mean goku has trained and fought 99.9% of his life so superman go eat some kryptonite.

  24. ron says:

    dudes!! … y wud dey fight in d first place!! ?? \m/

  25. Legend says:

Really? I think superman probably is around a Super Saiyin level but nothing more.
Superman is fast, but Goku can be in one place, then another in an instant (Instant Tranmission). Maybe if Goku was still a child superman’s powers would have hurt him but Goku’s powers are always increasing, as superman’s stay the same. Goku can destroy a planet with the wink of his eye at SSJ4. Superman would definately be demolished by any DBZ character above SSJ.
Both have great: Strength, speed, powers… but Goku is stronger, faster, can do more with his powers except see through clothes (you pervert superman) but then he could slightly power up to rip off any clothes. Plus, Goku had fought his whole life! Just because superman is somewhat strong, doesn’t mean homeboy knows how to fight… U kiddin me? Goku all the way, no questions asked…
I think all you guys tryin to tell us to read a comic needs to go watch all the DB, DBZ, and DBGT episodes then come back and tell us how awesome you think Goku is.

  26. Legend says:

Oh and Goku has no weakness except an empty stomach. Find a green shiny rock and watch superman faint with the sight of it… Weak!

  27. Legend says:

PLUS!!!, Vegeta would kill them both while they fight!

  28. Goku says:

If you take Superman at his strongest form (Superman Prime 1000000) he is no doubt a formidable opponent for Goku, but sadly would lose. If you took this stage of Superman and put him against Goku even up to Super Saiyan 2 I would say that he would win for sure, but if you look at the exponential increase of Goku’s power level you can see that over time super man would stand no chance.

As a child Goku’s power level is only 100, but by the time he fights Raditz it has increased to 330 according to Raditz scouter, now look at again after training with King Kai and it is 5000 as he approaches vegeta, when he uses kaio-ken x4 it increases from 8,000 to 24,000.

You can see how as he gets more powerful his strength increases dramatically. Now once again if you look at Goku’s powerlevel while in Super Saiyan form fighting Frieza as stated in “The Evolution of Goku’s Power Level” it has increased to 150,000,000. Look at that jump. 24,000 to 150,000,000! and that’s only SSj.

Now when Goku jumps to Supersaiyan 2 his powerlevel is doubled, meaning if he went to Super Saiyan 4 it would be quadrupled=600,000,000.

Finally, Goku’s ultimate attack while in super saiyan 4 is the kamehameha x10 attack showing he can go x10 while in super saiyan 4 putting Goku’s ultimate power level at 6,000,000,000.

Now if power levels mean nothing to those superman fans out there than you are atleast able to see the increase of power that Goku is able to attain within the shown time span of the Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball GT Sagas. I therefore am proud to say that in Super Saiyan 4 with a power of 6 Billion Goku would for sure beat Superman.

  29. Debostevo says:

Um….Goku would just blow up the planet and instant transmission his ass out of there. Vegeta could beat Superman’s ass…and thats saying something.

  30. Nana says:

Superman’s power level is prop around 600.

  31. good fight says:

This would be a good fight. No matter what they’d have to fight in a different galaxy… possibly different universes where there are no other people.

The two are very evenly matched (excluding power levels):
-They can both breath in space (1st episode of DBZ and several of Superman)
-They can both shoot and deflect high intensity beams (Superman’s lazer beams and Goku’s… everything)
-both can fly faster than the speed of light under certain conditions (people keep forgetting about Goku’s instant transmission which is substantially faster than the speed of light)
-Both are ridiculously strong in their own universes.

Differences start when you talk about duration and if it is a fight to the death:

-its out of character for either to kill necessarily, but if they had to Goku would win in a short fight and Superman would win in a long fight. Goku has to power down and eat while superman doesn’t.
    - Goku could probably supernova if he fully powered up at SS4 and Superman would be vaporized.
    - Superman letting loose is almost as fast as Goku, but can’t teleport as Goku can so… yea..
-Superman can time travel, but Goku can’t… he could he realized how Superman did it though.
-When Brolly was a kid he destroyed the North Galaxy at SS1… Goku at SS2, SS3, or SS4 would kill Brolly without breaking a sweat. I think its safe to assume Goku could easily destroy a galaxy at SS3 and definitely at SS4.

    Summary:
    overall speed- about equal
range of abilities- Superman (Goku doesn’t have ice breath)
    overall strength- Goku
    agility- about equal
    intelligence- Superman
    stamina- Superman (easy)
    power level- Goku
    range- surprisingly about equal
overall- Goku since where he is stronger he is vastly stronger

So, I think in a balls to the wall- all out- crazy as hell fight… in another universe… Goku would be the victor. Superman would put up one hell of a fight until Goku went SS4 (I said all out) then Superman would not exist anymore. No matter which Superman is used, he could never beat a SS4 Goku in his prime.

Before anyone mentions Superman next to a blue star (a sun is a star for those who didn’t take astronomy)… Superman and Goku could fight in a blue star and Goku could destroy both Superman and the star with his supernova like power up at SS4. Superman is probably intelligent enough to try to stop Goku from powering up though he would not be able to get close enough to stop him at SS4 power up.

Now they’d both probably have to team up to fight SS4 Brolly. That would be an EPIC BATTLE!!! okay never mind.. he too would kill Superman instantly unless he wanted to toy with him (Brolly has no problems with killing), but he would give Goku a run for his money. He’d probably need SS4 Vegeta to help him. Good guys always win or else what is the point of comics/anime.

So, all in all, GOKU would be the victor in this highly unlikely battle (taking aside bias from the author and putting them both in a level playing field in another universe).

  32. SUPERMAN's WORLD says:

    SUPERMAN CANNOT BEAT GOKU
oh yeah sure superman in the comics are amazing but he’s fighting against people either from his planet or just evil HUMANS.
Goku is fighting the evil villains in the UNIVERSE. GOKU is a sayin and the definition of a sayin is a being with NO LIMITATIONS. THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A HIGHER LEVEL OF SUPERSAYIN. So far he’s only at supersayin 5. For those who said Superman would crush Goku…….Stop being ignorant idiots. Superman has a weakness and limitations, Goku = NO WEAKNESS AND NO LIMITATIONS.

  33. Paragon says:

    I. SSJ3 vs current Superman
    - First, we have to establish that the fight will be between SSJ3 vs Superman as he currently is. Dragonball Online, a new MMORPG has a new storyline that completely disregards the events of DBGT. DBGT’s storyline was done entirely by the studio that animated DBZ whereas creator Akira Toriyama has personally supervised the MMORPG’s storyline. That means that DB Online should be treated as the canonical continuation of DBZ and not DBGT. That means that all events of DBGT should be disregarded, including the existence of an SSJ4 transformation. And just to add, all movie events and filler material that does not show up in the original source material–the manga–are also considered non-canon, because they create many plotholes.
If the pro-Goku side wishes to use a non-canon version of Goku (SSJ4 Goku), then it’s just fair to use Superman One Million, who has gained a whole slew of superpowers, such as omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence, control over reality, time, space, magic, etc., and is also in possession of the universe’s most powerful weapon. To name a few. So believe me when I say that it’s also in your best interest to just stick to SSJ3 Goku, okay?
As for which version of Superman to use, the way I see it, we can either use “pre-Crisis Superman” (that is, take both at their strongest), Superman as he currently is (basically take both at the end of their respective storylines), or Superman Prime (the only logical scenario in which we can have both fight and still take personality into consideration). The best one to use IMO is the current Superman, who is the weakest of the three anyway.
(Note that this was typed up maybe around 2006 or so, and I don’t really read that much of DC to keep up with how Superman is now, so there may be some discrepancies due to changes that has occurred between now and then.)
The thing is though, the current Superman, after sundipping, can become nearly as strong as he was pre-Crisis, so for convenience’s sake, I’ll be posting scans of current Superman, Superboy-Prime, and pre-Crisis to support my argument. Here we go.

    II. Physical Strength
    - Goku: Vegeta trained at 300x Earth’s gravity during the Androids saga. (IIRC, we don’t have any real basis for their strength after that, but this should suffice.) Assuming that Vegeta weighs 300 pounds, that means he’s able to lift ~90,000 pounds during the Androids saga. Goku is much stronger than Vegeta and gets even stronger in the next sagas (especially after he transforms to SSJ3), so we’ll say that he can lift MUCH more than that by the end of DBZ. Someone has informed me that Goku in his normal state can only lift 40 tons at the end of DBZ and struggles to lift a mountain. (I don’t have a scan to go with this fact, but it doesn’t matter.)
    - Superman: Superman can augment his super strength to near infinite levels, at which point, he can literally move planets from one solar system to another barehanded. http://img239.imageshack.us/my.php?image=superboytowingplanets1400026uv.jpg
Now using Earth (which he has moved before here: http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/1/14288/352229-4901.jpg with only three quarters of his strength) as our basis, that means he can move an object that weighs 5,978,000,000,000,000,000,000 pounds across solar systems.
http://www.windows.ucar.edu/tour/link=/headline_universe/earth_weight.html (The Earth’s mass is 13,160,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 pounds if you want to calculate things yourself).
It’s a stretch to assume that Goku goes from lifting ~90,000 lbs. to being able to move 5,978,000,000,000,000,000,000 lbs. between the Cell saga to his end-DBZ SSJ3 transformation.
Here’s a good clue why: neither Goku nor his enemies ever show themselves to have the strength to move planets all throughout DBZ through physical means alone. In fact, all efforts to destroy a planet in DBZ were done through a ki attack, not by physical means and in DBZ, ki attacks >>>> physical strength.

    III. Speed
    - Goku: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79pY1GLtNUc&feature=related shows that SSJ Gotenks (who is stronger than SSJ Goku) gets clocked to be much slower than light speed. (Ignore the portion that uses the anime as basis and go straight to the manga scan.) That makes Instant Transmission Goku’s fastest way of moving from one place to another and keep in mind that he needs a ki lock to use it, which does take a very tiny amount of time. And when facing someone with Superman’s speed, that tiny amount of time is a very wide window. Aside from that, Goku is, at his base, slower than lightspeed.
    - http://i28.tinypic.com/14jxphl.jpg shows Superman flying from Earth to Saturn in 4 minutes. Light takes 17 minutes to reach Saturn, so that alone proves that Superman as he currently is, can fly four times faster than the speed of light. Pre-Crisis Superman would then put Goku to shame as he can move fast enough to break the time barrier (http://s68.photobucket.com/albums/i19/stuffoffiction/Comicbooks/Additional/?action=view&current=SupermansGreatestFeats3.jpg) which means that he can simply fly Goku to the beginning of time (which he’s done to Brainiac, but I have no scan of that), when there are no planets, so Goku cannot survive.
Now, some people claim that Superman does not use his speed when he fights. That’s not true.
    http://img278.imageshack.us/my.php?image=708yd.png
    http://img512.imageshack.us/my.php?image=wwvssupesheatvisionta3.jpg
    http://i32.tinypic.com/28bgps0.jpg
Supes blitzes a lot of his opponents, so that argument against him is flawed.
Also, Superman is hypothetically fast enough to dodge Goku’s ki attacks, so ki attacks are hypothetically useless.
    http://i31.tinypic.com/35n6jab.jpg

    IV. Durability
    - Goku can’t survive in space.
    - Superman can survive in space.
(THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT POINT IN THIS ENTIRE POST.) Goku’s inability to survive in outer space is a major disadvantage that will most likely be the deciding factor of this match. Now some people will point out that Freeza had that same advantage, but I want to point out the actual results of the match. Freeza survived the battle and Goku would’ve died were it not for that space pod. The only reason Goku won was because of sheer dumb luck and Freeza’s arrogance. Superman does not have that same failing as Freeza and luck is disregarded in hypothetical matches. That means that since this is a hypothetical battle, this fact alone points towards Superman ultimately winning the fight.
Both are powerful enough to destroy a planet. If the fight gets so destructive that the planet they’re fighting on gets destroyed, Goku will be the one most likely to suffer (unless he uses Instant Transmission and if this is how the scenario plays out, it just proves that the best Goku can pull is a stalemate). Also, (I’m not sure if Superman still has this ability, so someone correct me if I’m wrong,) AFAIK, Superman (like Flash) can vibrate his molecules fast enough to become intangible, which means that Goku can’t even hit him.
Also, Goku’s inability to follow Superman to space is a major drawback. Superman could fly out into space and use his telescopic vision to see where Goku is and use his heat vision, which is strong enough to fix a hole in the cosmos http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/2383/supes2po7.jpg to burn a hole on Goku’s head.
And just for laughs, Pre-Crisis Supes could even fly out and simply sneeze http://img118.imageshack.us/img118/9543/supersneezeae9og9.jpg and Goku will be gone. Alternatively, he could also throw an object weighing trillions of tons http://img292.imageshack.us/my.php?image=pc2mw9.jpg smack into Goku’s face, or push/pull the planet Goku’s on into the sun. (http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/1/14288/352229-4901.jpg) (http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/1609/supermanbatman13pg109es.jpg)
Now another thing to point out is the question of whether or not Superman can survive Goku’s ki attacks. As I showed earlier, Superman is fast enough to dodge Darkseid’s Omega Beams, so he is hypothetically fast enough to dodge Goku’s ki attacks, thus making this argument irrelevant. In the event that an attack does connect though, Superman has flown through a field of kryptonite and then through a red sun before (both of which drain his powers) and still survived.
    http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/4568/scan00197tnwo9.jpg
    http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/1107/scan00228qdaj6.jpg
    http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/6425/scan00231lkoc2.jpg
    http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/1319/scan00246wmrh2.jpg
    http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/3958/scan00253nfnx3.jpg
So it all depends on what is more destructive, a red sun, or Goku’s ki attack. In any case, Superman should be able to dodge the attack, so withstanding it is irrelevant. (And yes, the guy he’s fighting is the same one who towed planets using chains and threw an object that weighs trillions of tons to a distance billions of lightyears away.)
Oh, and FYI, the spirit bomb wouldn’t work on Superman because he’s not evil.

    V. Personality
    - There’s been arguments that Superman wouldn’t use his speed in a fight or that he would hold back because he’s a “boy scout.” Here’s proof that that is not true as well.
    http://img222.imageshack.us/my.php?image=supermanvsmajorforce54gr.jpg
    http://img222.imageshack.us/my.php?image=supermanvsmajorforce61ab.jpg
    http://returntocomics.typepad.com/photos/misc/superman_kills_hbomb.jpg
    http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i171/thedailynow/heat_vision1.jpg
Again, Superman has blitzed (at lightspeed) many of his opponents before.
Besides, if we take personality into account, Goku isn’t likely to use kryptonite against Superman. (He gave Cell a senzu bean for crying out loud.)
Ultimately, if you take personality into account, Superman and Goku wouldn’t kill each other, so there’s no real way this match can be carried out since neither one will go all out. That is why personality should be ignored in hypothetical battles and assume that they are “bloodlusted.” (The only fair plausible scenario in which personality can be taken into account is Superman-Prime vs Goku.)
But if we assume that they‘re bloodlusted, then what’s to stop Superman from simply flying Goku straight into the sun or out into the universe? (Which he’s done repeatedly to opponents.)

    VI. Weaknesses
    - Goku: Goku cannot sustain his SSJ3 transformation for very long, meaning that he can only fight at his peak in a very short amount of time. Aside from that, his only weaknesses are the limits to his strength, speed, and durability, and the aforementioned inability to survive in outer space. (http://img271.imageshack.us/img271/4240/4211014db.gif)
    - Superman: Superman has a very well-known weakness to kryptonite. But in his storyline, Superman has gathered almost all of them and threw them into the sun, and gave the remaining pieces to Batman. That means that for the sake of this argument, there is no kryptonite that can be used against Superman.
Besides, Superman can still hold his own even after being weakened. (See my earlier scan of Superman flying through a field of kryptonite, then through a red sun, all the while carrying Superboy-Prime, who is much stronger than he is.)
Of course, Superman is also susceptible to magic and mind control, but Goku isn’t magic and he can’t control minds either.

    VII. Dragonballs
    - Another argument that someone else might present is that Goku can use the dragonballs against Superman. Now Goku has a dragon radar and Superman has his super hearing, X-ray vision, and superior speed. Both have a really good chance of finding the dragonballs, but then this becomes more of a race, and once they get to the location, they’ll probably just wind up duking it out then, so it’s just best to avoid this argument altogether. And let’s not forget, Goku prefers to fight an enemy directly rather than use the dragonballs on them.
    http://view.thespectrum.net/series/dragon-ball-volume-01.html?ch=Volume+28&page=157
    http://view.thespectrum.net/series/dragon-ball-volume-01.html?ch=Volume+28&page=158
    http://view.thespectrum.net/series/dragon-ball-volume-01.html?ch=Volume+28&page=159
So the dragonballs are a moot point in this argument.

    VIII. Martial Arts Skills
    - Superman has had some training, but Goku is definitely the superior martial artist of the two. This advantage, however, will not help him overcome his other shortcomings.

    IX. Wizard’s Versus Battle
    - Now, some will point out that Wizard did a take on this match and published that Goku would be the winner. First of all, it should be noted that that match was not canon. Wizard does those hypothetical matches a lot and if they were canon, then that would mean that a lot of fictional characters would be dead in their respective universes. It’s just a take by other writers, so it’s not canon, and sometimes it can be completely incorrect.
If you read that particular versus battle, you’ll see that they use a LOT of completely wrong information.
    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v349/AngstromZero/superman_vs_goku.jpg
    The most obvious inconsistensies are:
    1. Goku being able to fight in space.
    2. Superman not surviving a punch that would put him in collision with Earth’s surface. (He’s been punched though the Earth and shrugged it off.)
    3. Some unheard of “particle flux” that results from Goku’s IT.
    4. Goku at his base form being strong enough to land a heavy blow on Supes.
So not only was that versus match not canon, it was completely filled with false information. I mean, even the premise is ridiculous. Eighth dragonball? Not only is Goku familiar enough with the dragonballs to know that that information is false, he also knows Kami/Piccolo/Dende and would’ve simply gone to them and asked them to confirm it before trusting someone who he most likely sensed to have an evil intention.

    X. Faster than a speeding bullet…
    - Most people seem to forget that there are various incarnations of Superman and are completely biased in choosing which one to pit against Goku in this argument. There’s absolutely no reason to go with Superman from the movies or a past, weaker version of him other than to sway the argument to Goku’s favor. To use a non-canon or an outdated incarnation of Superman would be as unfairly biased as say, pitting DB Goku against pre-Crisis Superman.
That said, a lot of people seem to have very little knowledge of Superman. “Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound” has not been true for over half a century now. I mean, the guy can fly out to space. That just goes to show that “able to leap tall buildings in a single bound” is definitely an outdated understatement. So, if you’re going to use arguments against Superman, please make sure that it is up to date and accurate. (I’m being a bit of hypocrite here since I have admitted that this argument is a couple of years old, but AFAIK, there hasn‘t been that much changes between then and now anyway.)
The same goes for Goku. Know the difference between filler and canon material and stick to using what is canon.

    XI. You’re a Superman fanboy.
    - I’m adding this here because this is the most common illogical argument used against me.
I am, with all honesty, not a fan of DC. And I don’t even like Superman all that much. The reasons why I’ve grown to dislike Superman though (being way too overpowered) are the very reasons why I believe he would win against Goku. That said, I like Goku better as a character overall.
Anyway, please refrain from using this logic against me and focus on the points laid out above.
To further add to my proof that I am not supporting Superman out of fanboyism, I should point out that I don’t believe that Superman is unbeatable. In fact, I think there is another DBZ character capable of defeating Superman. I believe that any incarnation of Buu should be able to accomplish that feat, but it would depend on the scenario.
So you might ask, why then, do I believe that Buu can defeat Superman but Goku, who defeated Buu, can’t? Simple. Buu won’t win by overpowering Superman, but by absorbing him, which Goku obviously can’t do. This is where the “scenario” part plays in. If Superman is aware of Buu’s absorption technique, then his super speed, long range heat beams, and heightened senses should be enough to play a good keep-away game and ultimately destroy Buu. However, if Superman is unaware of this ability, Buu can easily take him by surprise and absorb him. And since Superman is susceptible to magic and Buu was created by magic, it’s logical to assume that Superman would get absorbed easily.

So there you have it. Superman wins this one easily due to numerous advantages.

  34. 'A' Spectator To Awesomness says:

Interesting this battle of words, of egos, of character devotion, and of nation’s pride(if conflicted). However, the fact to this fiction amongst more fiction(Goku versus Superman) is that the Saiyan, Goku would unquestionably, undoubtedly, and unconsciously obliterate the Kryptonian, Superman with needless effort. Respectively, they’re both the greatest heroes(Batman is the best, without any help from girly superpowers) of their time and universe. Therefore, this exchange between ‘who is going to win in a full-contact smackdown’ only goes to show us how greatly we all appreciate our heroes and the unselfish sacrifices they make on our behalf. To say to them that we are willingly to stand by them and face the end of the world together as brothers, sisters, and ninjas. WAHHHHHH! Hey, if they have right mind to, Goku and Superman can destroy us all lucky for all of us they’re only fictional heroes, or are they? Hopefully, but the Marines can still kill us if they wish to that and nuclear war so run for your lives cause you can’t fly like Goku and Superman do. AHHHH! WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE!

  35. If this was an actual no holds bar/ anything goes fight between the great Goku v Superman. Goku with all his power, endless strength, ssssssss saiyaness, if that’s even a word would do whatever it took…anything from a destructo disk, special beam cannon, or even a buu chocolate transformation. Superman would prob use his speed in-destructiveness and oh yea….ABILITY TO TRAVEL IN TIME TO GO BACK AND KILL ANYONE BEFORE THEY WOULD EVER GAIN ANY POWER. I’m just say screw all that other power b/c if I was in his position I do that every-time….. AND THE WINNER IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE ….SUPERMAN

  36. Saint says:

Goku and Superman are both creatures of peace, if they would encounter one another,
they would definitely be friends at first maybe even train, Goku would wonder where superman got his powers from, thats something called the sun. Superman would wonder where Goku got his powers from. Thats something called KI/Energie. Now we all know that every creature in Goku’s world has the ability to fly even Videl got it working.

Now… Superman is a kryptonian, And Goku is a saiyan. Goku’s ability is to get stronger every battle. And bring his strength to new hight’s yes? Superman only has his powers from the sun. NOW If Superman would learn how to use KI/Energie what would be the reaction? Would he get stronger? Faster? Would he even have a better ability’s then the saiyans? No,one knows, the outcome might be HUGE! Maybe he’d also got the ability to transform into becoming the ultimate superman but it also might be nothing more then a Human like krillin. If the reaction would be huge. Superman would stomp goku into the ground!!!!!!!!! And goku doesnt have any abillity’s from the sun, it’s warm for him thats all.

But if Superman had no reaction, Goku would definitely win yes. He’s instant transmission, or superspeed is enough. Superman would not even laid a hand on goku, and even if goku didn’t use all that. Goku is a hell of a fighter he know’s tons of martial arts! Superman doesn’t know any martial arts.. Then only the flying kickboxing style fighting.

    Think about it.

  37. SkyRider says:

Goku might have more energy projection abilities than superman. but strength wise, superman has goku beat. even in his most powerful form goku isint as strong as super man…… i mean common…..super man can MOVE planets and fly through stars. and when your fighting a power house like supes. the only thing you can apply is projectiles and strength. dont use kryptonite cause goku wouldnt have it IF they ever fought. dont use teleportation cause there both worriors and wouldnt use anything besides there own fists and some lasers here an there. take into account that superman cant really die while hes under the yellow sun. goku has gotten the crap kicked out of his and has kicked the crap out of so many people that this would totaly be an awesome fight. ……all in all……i say its a draw.

  38. this is pretty sweet says:

The issue with this fight is that Superman is incredibly overpowered.
our concept of the characters are the source materials, and Dragon ball Z ended a while ago, because the author decided it was over.

Akira Toriyama set out to tell a story, and make good, powerful characters. and he suceeded. Goku is a pretty believable character, because we are shown he has limits, but he stretches those limits constantly.
Goku, if given infinite life and an infinite amount of ever stronger opponents, would become the most powerful being ever, because that is how the manga would go. Akira will always come up with a new techniques, new transformations, and so on. However, the manga ended after Buu, so we have no clue what happened after that. for all we know, he got eternal life, and is almost always fighting a stronger opponent. In that case, at some point, he would be stronger than superman, without a doubt. but, he could just be chillin’ out, in which case, he’s probably staying at a constant powerlevel.

Superman on the otherhand, is still continuing, because the authors set out to create an ultimate powerhouse. Superman will probably still be publishing new comics 50 years from now. And because of that, he will be in new situations with new struggles. this will lead to new variations of the character. there will probably be some form of “super omega badass slapdown Superman version 2.0″ that will be given essentially any form of power imaginable.

However, from what I’ve read, Superman’s power comes from the sun. Goku is shown as having the ability to destroy planets, and he could probably manage a sun as well. So Goku could destroy the sun, and cause the loss of superman’s powers. The only issue that this presents is that Goku would never do this. He would realize all the life that would inevitably be destroyed because of it, so Goku couldn’t go all out.

So essentially, there’s no way to know.

  39. Paragon says:

^ Superman’s powers doesn’t go away instantly the moment the sun is destroyed.

One scan I forgot to upload before:

    http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1550/durability01.jpg

That’s Superman shrugging off a planet exploding in his face. Goku’s durability doesn’t even come close. So again, Goku’s the one most likely to suffer from those tactics.

  40. kl says:

    goku will win

  41. imani says:

omg goku can totally bet up superman

  42. the best says:

any of u losers who thinks superman even has the slightest chance of defeating goku i mean even krillin would beat superman i mean taking on goku himself is suicide for superman regardless of where the fight takes place there is no american superhero who comes close to any one of these dbz guys sorry to anyone who likes superman but goku=way too powerful!!!

  43. kris morales says:

    goku is my hero…

  44. kris morales says:

goku is the big boss u know he gat this……..

  45. dan says:

    i love goku

  46. dan says:

    goku is a supersain

  47. Zee says:

Goku hands down, 1. superman isn’t indestructible he can be beaten if someone is physically stronger then him which goku is, someone made comment that superman moves at the speed of light which doesnt matter goku can still move faster as in he can teleport, goku can blow up a planet with a finger what can superman do? run around in his gay spandex get punked out over and over he raped by batman. 2 Superman has NO fighting skills he just throws punches and does what he has learned from experience while goku has a huge martial arts background. Goku worked for his strength to come out on top of everyone while superman just had it and still got beat half the time.

  48. halo says:

you guys know nothing about fighting ,goku would totaly destroy superman in one second.

  49. internet says:

being as goku is just japanese superman, i suspect the two would only fight for a short time before they realized they were on the same side and teamed up.

there is no conceivable situation in which these two, both with the same goals (protecting earth) would want to fight each other!

    HTH!

  50. LeBron says:

You guys need to stop arguing and think about the facts that we’ve been given about these heroes. Both are fighters of justice. They will not fight each other. Even if they did just for the fun of it, it would be quite unfair and unbalanced. Just using the weakness of the other opponent to defeat them would be the easy way out, but not the way the both of them were brought up. Goku isn’t going to get some kryptonite and defeat Superman that way, nor is Superman going to fly Goku into the sun or end of time.

Either way both characters were created by HUMANS and it is up to their opinion and decision to make Goku and Superman have what powers.

All in all, they’ll never fight each other because both are on the same side, so quit arguing about who will win the fight or whatever. The truth is they are from different worlds and a fight like this would never exist. Don’t even know why you so-called fans would want these fighters of justice to fight each other in the first place… And finally, THEY ARENT EVEN REAL. Stop thinking up stupid fight situations >>

    Peace.

  51. Jake says:

I don’t want to be biased, and I’d like to come at this from an intelligent viewpoint. I’m an avid fan of both Manga, and western comic book characters, having taken years of my life to obsess about them. I am an uber geek, and I believe that I am qualified to truly settle this dispute, based entirely on in universe facts. First let’s look at the similarities that make me believe DBZ would never exist without influence from Supes, or at least not as it does today. Goku and Clack Kent were both found out in the country by a kindly person that cared for them as they grew. Goku on a mountain, Supes in a field. Both were sent to Earth as the supposed last living member of their species as their home planet was being destroyed. Albeit Goku to destroy Earth, and Superman as a way to save the young boy, nonetheless the similarities are there. Both would grow up to be flying, super strong, defenders of the planet that are widely recognized pop culture icons, and being the two most powerful characters in their respective universes.

Now that being said in a fight if you look at the statistics Superman wouldn’t stand a chance. His strength fluctuate often, and his actual abilities range from era to era, however at his most powerful Superman was capable shifting the orientation of the planet, with enormous physical effort. Superman is not actually invincible, just close enough to it that he seems so, but he can indeed die. Goku and Vegeta, while fighting on Earth were both said to be around a Power Level of 1500. Now Vegeta claimed that if his Galick gun were to have hit the Earth, and not been block by Goku’s Kamahameha then the planet would have been destroyed, a feat that Superman is incapable of, at least with one attack, if at all. Goku’s attack was stronger, being able to overpower Vegeta’s, which means he too could have destroyed the planet at this point. This is a clear demonstration that Goku is indeed more powerful than the big S. Fast forward to Goku’s fight with Frieza. Upon first achieving Super Saiyan form his power level is stated to be over 1 Million, think about that. This means he is nearly 67 times stronger than when he fought Vegeta, a state that is clearly capable of defeating Superman. Goku only gets stronger from there, the exact numbers are hard to judge because Power levels are rarely stated after the Frieza saga. So Superman, at the height of his power would barely be competition for a pre SS Goku, sorry guys but Goku for the win, hands down. Superman might have a chance if in his most powerful incarnation, and again pre-King Kai training Goku, otherwise it’s all Goku.

That raises an interesting question, a war between Saiyans and Kryptonians? Few, in fact no Saiyans who were actually on Planet Vegeta were ever a Super Saiyan, so if you factor in the average Saiyan power level against an army of Kryptonians, now that’s a good fight.

  52. DDD Kano Son! says:

Thats not true superman cant survive in space! haven’t you watched any of the justice league or superman shows? HE HAS AN OXYGEN SUIT. Plus Goku survived an exploding PLANET! Superman did because his mom and dad put him in a ship and blasted him ouya there. I don’t know if Superman can survive an exploding planet WITHOUT a fricken ship. Therefore since Goku can go up to like supersaiyen x12 (I think) he could easily beat Superman. He doesnt even have to go supersaiyen x2 to whoop his ass.

  53. superman dbz says:

it would be a good fight but we should think about superman vs broly because when goku was fighting broly he had to get energy from everyone else and superman justs gets it from the sun and look at all the cartoons and evrything superman always wins in the end but goku doesnt always like against maajin vegeta

  54. kap10kirk says:

i am big fan of both but i have to give it to superman. the guys key to his house is made from a dwarf star and he can crush atoms to make small stars. goku is strong and fast but superman has more raw muscle power than goku. but just to get them to fight they would have to be tricked first because they are both super good and goku would sense that. i thank it would be harder for goku to win because superman is pretty fast his self.

  55. kap10kirk says:

superman can go into space without a suite all he has to do is hold his breath because he has super lungs. and yes i have seen all the justice league and he only needs a suite unless he travels real far in space. but i dont care who wins they are bot kick ass and i would love to see it.

  56. goku123 says:

ah guys now some people think superman would win but your wrong losers who said this because can superman go ss4 on any body or almost destroy a planet, can he cure after eating a sento bean ,nooooooooo he cant any body i mean anybody on (dbz) can destroy any justice league and of course superman.

  57. goku123 says:

and zee your totally right goku can teleport

  58. vegeta666 says:

you superman bichis maajin vegeta666 would kill him and everybody in justicelieg not just sm but all with one hand behind his back slapping wondered women like the vrigen bich she is green latter will be big baged and if the flash runs up to the plat he mit have some truble flying to hit him so ha . even spiederman and the huck would be fienl flash the EAD

  59. goku123 says:

    yup thats right vegeta666

I think goku wouldn’t Hurt superman because he might consider him as an innocent human being.. Even if superman wants to fight with goku, goku is way more powerful than him.. Superman can travel light years within a short amount of time but goku could travel the same distance in light years within an instant with his instant transmission technique.. Superman is strong yea but goku is stronger because he evolves after every strong enemy he defeats making him almost invincible.. If goku wanted he could have just wish for imortality or wish superman powerless using cenron and his dragon balls, but there is no use for that because goku took over cenron’s position meaning he could do anything he wants.. Goku doesn’t have to fight superman to show who is stronger, he just have to let his great grandson (Goku Junior) to fight him and he could jus sit back n laugh at superman getting himself whipped by a kid.. Goku on top!!!

  64. Bob-Isan says:

Here is what everyone is forgetting about Goku (and from what I’ve seen, most of the other Magna/Anime heroes, too)…Goku either has to power up for every “super” move he’s got, or he’s got to sit there and think about it for 5 minutes. “Oh my gosh, I got punched so hard that actually hurt, and he’s so fast and strong and…”. Goku may be able to destroy planets, but Superman would pummel him out before he could gain the power to do it…Superman would hover right in front of Goku (whistling the Jeopardy tune while he waited) and right before Goku got to full strength, Superman would grin at him like he knew something Goku didn’t and knock him out. Heck, I could knock Goku out before he powered up. Now, in all fairness, the top center picture is from Wizard Magazine when they matched up Goku against Superman…they have Goku winning and it’s a pretty sensible battle based on both power-sets, but they didn’t take into consideration the amount of time it takes Goku to reach his “super-power” status or his insufferable internal monolouging, in which case Superman wins hands down. If I can find the issue number, I’ll post it.

  65. Simon says:

Lex Luthor can destroy superman….And for Goku is like a piece of Jelly…
Of course Goku needs to charge his KI level and change form but still Goku will win…even Kulilin can split superman into half…

But then again …. BATMAN can destroy Goku… no one can defeat BATMAN!!!!

  66. Kame-hame-ha says:

That would be a fight that I would pay to watch

  67. Kame-hame-ha says:
